Drug Addiction Education

Serenity Living Management believes in drug addiction counseling.  We educate our clients, their families and the community about addiction.

At Serenity Living Management, we believe in drug addiction education. Our focus is teaching the disease concept of addiction and alcoholism. We believe it is important for a client to fully understand the disease concept of addiction so that they are properly educated to deal with what they are up against in their recovery.

We also educate our clients in many other aspects involved in achieving sobriety, including:

• Comorbidity – two or more disorders or illnesses occurring in the same person.
• Programs available to assist in recovery.
• Family dynamics.
• Relapse prevention.
• Proper communication skills.

Drug addiction education is designed to educate not only the client, but their family too. Our staff supports families with how to deal with the addict and addiction. Education for the addict focuses on teaching them the different aspects of recovery, while education for the family specifically deals with subjects like co-dependency, enabling, detaching with love and family dynamics.

We also try to educate our community about the effects of drug addiction. Serenity Living Management works closely with the community to help make recovery accessible to as many addicts and alcoholics as possible. We help to educate leaders in our community about respectfully and properly treating addicts and alcoholics throughout our community. We believe that when the community works together, we are better able to resolve the growing addiction problem.
